This week begun with us having Picture Powerpoint Presentations.
I held mine about Switzerland, since that's quite easy for me and I even could use some of my own pictures.
The week wasn't too exciting after that.
Except that I ran about 8 Miles in an evening, I think it was on Tuesday. But those miles made my legs sore the whole week. I have no clue why that happened.
The rest of the week was without anything special as far as I remember.
On Friday we had another Football Game. We went to Leo but lost the game. But the worst wasn't the loss, but that three players got injured.
For my part, I missed another PAT but made one and got my kick offs more or less on the spot they were supposed to be.
So all in all not an exciting week, but then it got exciting. Saturday came by and I ran my first full Marathon! That means I ran 26.2 miles or 42.2 Kilometers.
Karolee brought me up to Fort Wayne and we left before 6am since my start was at 7am.
After I got my stuff checked in I got over to the starting line to dive into this adventure.
There were just so many other runners and it was amazing to start with all of them.
First we ran a Lap about 3 Miles long, then the 10K lap followed by the halfmarathon lap and the final 4 Mile lap.
I the first 10 Miles felt really easy but then my knee started to make trouble.
by Mile 18 my knee started to hurt really bad and it took way longer than all the times before to go away again. I couldn't help it but I had to cry sometimes when I thought I wouldn't be able to finish it.
But when it got better again and I started on the 4 Mile lap and completed the first mile of the lap I speeded up again going with anything left in my legs. I caught up to all the slower 4 Mile people and had to pass an uncountable amount of them.
It was a super fun run, the best I ever did even though the track was just on Fort Waynes streets.
Every time I finished a lap I ran straight into the group running only that distance and it was so motivating seeing all those people with handicaps and from all ages groups and all speeds. It was beautiful seeing all those people just running and doing their body something good.
Also in all different Neighborhoods the people would basically having a party and cheering on all the runners. And there were a bunch of bands along the track playing some music. Also, crazy for me, there were many people offering "beer shots" for the runners. I didn't take on, that probably wouldn't have ended well in several different ways...
Also some people cheering on the runners would have sings like "faster, the beer is getting warm!" or or other funny slogans like "on a scale of 1-10 you are a 13.1" ( on the half marathon distance since a half marathon is 13.1 Miles).
I had a great time running even with all the pain which should be expected when running this without even preparing for it...
The finishing bit was through the Parkview Baseball Stadium. I never thought that a Baseball field is that big if you run or basically sprint through it with all you got left. I crossed the finishing line with a time of 4:34hours. It isn't the best possible time. But I was so glad that I could achieve my huge goal of running a full marathon before I am 18 years old that I just cried while finishing it with the first cramps in the whole race.
I got a finisher medal handed and then, after I got my clothes changed and met a great guy who also ran his first marathon that day, I got some post race food and met Mike to come home. My legs were so tired I had serious trouble sitting down or getting into the car or out of it again.
But I was super glad I was able to run this race.
Today Sunday my legs feel way better but my right hip and knee is hurting a bit. But I am sure I will feel as good as ever before with some more rest and time.
Ya and thats about it. Not an exciting week but probably one of the most exciting days in my life happening all in one week... Kinda crazy.

Here are some pictures of me after the marathon and my medal, I probably was never that proud or happy just because a little piece of metal...
