This week was my fall break, so I didn't even need to go to school, which was nice :)
We still had football practice though.
So my day basically looked something like this every day but Friday: Getting up around 8:30 and working out for a while. Mostly I went for a run around 9:00 and then did some other exercise.
Then I ate something and either did anything I had to do or just watched some Sport in the TV.
Then from 3:30 to 6:00pm we had football practice and I really had a fun practice week and could run a lot.
On Wednesday Karolee took the day off, so we went eating at Applebees, and I had another burger with an Egg in it, which was great, and we went for some clothe shopping.
Friday was special too since we had team breakfast with the football team and a little walk through. It was fun hanging out with the guys as always.
In the evening we went up to Berrien Springs, to sleep up there so we could get on the train for Chicago early.
Since you can't know, I went on an AFS trip to Chicago with about 35 other exchange students from all over the world.
So on Saturday, after a super fun evening Friday and going to bed at 12:00 in the night, we went to the train at 6:45.
The train ride was about 2 hours long. After everybody was awake it was fun just having conversations with all those awesome people from all over the world.
Then in Chicago we first stopped in Millenium Park and the Bean, a silver piece of artwork, before we headed to out double decker bus for a sight seeing tour. Our guide was a funny dude who loves films so he told us a lot about films filmed in Chicago.
The City is quite impressive to somebody like me, coming out from a city without skyscrapers...
I enjoyed the ride and ducking because some bridges were that low above our heads. All in all a great time. On the pier we could get off the bus to take a picture of skyline, with the taller buildings disappearing in the fog it looked great.
After our bus tour we went to the watertower and ate all we can. As always, I ate way too much.
The afternoon we spent with shopping, or people like me who don't like shopping would just hang out in the Millenium park or play golf in the simulator in a sports store.
Doing so I actually met two other guys, I don't even know their names, but they were good sports and one of them actually has a handicap of 9, which is quite good.
Shortly before meeting with the whole group again for dinner we went to get some popcorn in a popcorn store, the corn was quite good.
For dinner we had pizza, but it was a special pizza. It was really thick and the tomato sauce was on top. It was pretty good though.
After dinner it was time to go on another fun train ride. We were all tired, but it was fun having all the conversations with the awake people.
We got back at around 1:30 am and went straight to sleep.
Today we then got pancakes for breakfast and could spend some more time with each other before everybody left to go back to their homes.
In the evening I talked to my family back at the other home for a while and ended my week with watching football and baseball.
I hope all my mess writing made any sense to you. Some pictures should follow soon.
And a fun fact here, I probably took more selfies on Saturday than in my whole life, I even did a selfie marathon with the whole world, meaning I took a selfie with all the exchange students :)
