Finally, my first wrestling match and back to school
The week started with a long meeting with Ann my Liaison and we talked about the world and past and future and whatever else there is to talk about while sitting in a Chinese Buffet.
On Wednesday we had to go back to school.
My schedule changed a little bit but not a whole lot.
The new day starts out as before with homeroom, then engineering and after that calculus. In calc we have a new teacher, she seems to be a nice lady :)
My third period class got changed from speech to advanced PE, so from now on I will just do some more sport and play some games in this period.
The rest of the day didn't change, but we also got a new english teacher.
On Thursday we had another Wrestling meet against the Belmont high school and they have a really good wrestling program so our team didn't win too many matches.
And after that we had to carry the wrestling mats upstairs. That's a real team building activity since it takes like 15 people to carry one of them.
Friday was a long day, during the school day I had to take several pre tests.
After the school day we had a little calmer practice and talked a lot about the night before and the two upcoming weeks to the conference tournament and the tournament the day after about which I will talk some more in just a second.
After the practice I met 3 of my exchange student friends which are hosted in Kendalville but came to Huntington for the girls basketball games and cheered in the JV game.
It was good seeing those girls again since it's always great being around other exchange students and since we didn't meet for a while we had lots and lots to talk.
I also got to know some new people during the basketball games and this is another one of my favorite things to do :) So a great evening all in all.
Saturday was the big day.
Finally my first wrestling match after being out for so long.
It was a JV tournament in nearby Wabash and I wrestled 3 matches and won 2 of them and lost the one in the middle really close.
The tournament took over half of the day and I wrestled my last match at about 3pm and the tournament started at 9am.
The whole thing was pretty exciting for me since I never before faced an opponent in any kind of match like wrestling. It definitely is an experience and will remain with me for a long time.
On Saturday and Sunday night we went to eat at friends and family's houses which was really nice and I enjoyed.
I also taught the Swiss game Jass which is really similar to the here popular Juker or Junker or something like that :D
That was definitely a lot of fun.
And then another week was over...
